Selecting plugins on a per-ROM basis?

Is there a way to associate certain plugins with certain ROMs? For instance, I only wish to use the RICE plugin with games that I have downloaded texture replacement packs for, while using the default PJ64 graphics plugin for the rest. Is this possible, or do I have to change the plugin every time I play different games?

AFAIK, Project64 v1.7 supposedly has a feature like this, but don't take my word as gospel

I think you need to check the filter going from your brain to your fingers. Was that comment completely necessary? There are more tactful ways of conveying the same message.
