Sega Model 2 Emulation

Hexidecimal

Emutalk Bounty Hunter.
Anyone tooled around with it besides me?

I found a site with the board dumps. Have em all queued up. Only have a few so far.

House of the Dead
Sonic The Fighters/Championship
Top Skater

Sonic Chamionship runs at maybe 55% speed with ful sound at normal priority, maybe 75% with full sound on high priority.

House of the Dead runs pretty much full speed at normal priority in full screen mode.

Top Skater has bout 30 minutes until the last part is done, so I can't give a report on it. If you can find em, grab em, cool emulator, though its still a bit buggy.

If anyone else has different games and I haven't reported on them yet, feel free to post here. I'll add my findings as I acquire more games, I'm leaving the dls go over night, so expect a big update tomorrow. I can't wait for the next release of Nebula Model 2 for a speed increase, I'd like to see Sonic Championship at full speed.

(Also, are these boards based on Saturn Technology? Sonic Championship looks a hell of a lot like Saturn tech.)

Top Skater, Graphics less then perfect, slow even with sound off in full screen, still playable, but just barely.

Zero Gunner, near perfect, slows a bit in heavy action areas.

Next release will be bugfix, maybe some new games and still no speed optimizations... Author still have many bugs to fix and games to emulate

No, except SCSP sound chip, Model2 hardware is completely different.
Arcade version of Saturn (uses roms instead of CDs) called ST-V (Sega Titan Video).
Emulated in MAME (only one game) and Satourne (buuuuuuuugggggggy
emulator)

BTW Fighting Vipers is slow but gfx is perfect.

Just got Behind Enemy Lines and Dynamite Baseball.

Behind Enemy Lines the Mouse for a gun is WAY off calibration so you dont know where youre shooting. Not playable IMO.

Dynamite baseball is japanese, i dont really get the controls, looks like theres some custom ones at work on the machine itself.

I apparently got the Model 2A copy of DOA, so it doesnt run, because im missing the epbb.rom files, ill find them soon.

Also got Gunblade NY, WAYY to slow to play, maybe 10% of actual speed, graphics are nice though.

Sorry for lack of updates, got the 2B version of DOA and Dynamite Copes, DOA is about 50 - 65% but still playable, nice graphics too, jigglyness still intact, ;)

Dynamite cops is impressinve, fun game, runs between 75% and 100% depending on ammount of on screen action.

More tomorrow.

Hm... I´m having a mysterious little problem I didnt have with the Nebula Sega Model 2 Emu (and the newest Version of the "normal" Nebula" too btw). I was able to play ROMs on full screen with smooth screen, it was great. Now, with the newest version, as long as I keep the emu windowed there is no problem but when I switch to full screen there is a slight pause of half a second every other second. Does anyone know how this problem can be fixed? I tried different resolutions and filtering modes, that didnt help.
