scorpions piss me off

Just the other night I got stung by one of these fuckers, making that my third time. These things can hurt like hell, and the venom can make anything you eat or drink taste like shit for a few days.

This morning I found a good sized one walking on my stairwell, so I decided to have a little fun with him

Over time I found these assholes can survive almost anything. You can step on em, they don't die. You can hold em under water for an hour, they don't die. You can starve them for 6 weeks, they don't die. You can spray nerve gas on em, they don't die.

They do die if you stick em in the microwave. With my latest creative way of killing them, I found that they live for about one hour this way before dieing:

any creature which pisses me off get's hit by a twisted towel, of course this works best for wasps and mosquitos, but it's good for dogs and cats too, for larger animals such as cows I recommend a large stick.

maybe you should just cut off its tail ... then it can't harm anybody ....(and you'll be sure it will starve to death....what is really very sadistic, but since you hate 'em ;))

The one in the microwave actualy did survive for about about a half hour, he spent 30 seconds in there and came out with a bubble larger than half of his body on his side.

:)

Next time I wanna see how they react to a 12 volt battery with a transformer attached....gotta find the most effective solution :p

These things are like spiders, I've seen one sucking the blood out of a dead cockroach.

Well I dont live around scorpions but I was under the impression they were as deadly as rattlesnakes. You say you got stung by them three times. Did you get antivenom or did you just wait it out? Or are they not as dangerous as I was lead to believe? I know if you get bit by a texas rattler more that two or three times the antivenom wont help you anymore cause you grow immune. Then your in trouble cause well.... your dead.

They are only fatal to some people, mainly those alergic or under 45 pounds or so. All 3 times I did nothing, I called poison control to ask them what I should do, and they said theres no point in doing anything unless your alergic. I think immunity comes pretty fast, the first time I recall the sting hurting like a 10 foot wasp, and I got numb in a few places (especialy my tongue, my mouth would also foam when I would drink water), as well as the mild "tingly" effects lasting for 3 days. Second time was pretty bad, but not quite as painful. This last time the sting didn't quite feel as bad as a bee sting, the pain lasted only 5 minutes, and the effects went away after about 12 or so hours. Could have just been a less potent scorpion this time though :p

you can't just step on something that big and expect it to die. you have to do the foot twist and GRIND that mo fo into the ground. i know this from my battles with the hugo family , the nick name we gave to those HUGE flying roaches. i beat one with a mop about 30 times and it just crawled away.

I've got another pic of a scorpion under a blacklight somewhere. They become an extremely bright neon green color when you shine it on them. I've gone out at night to raid a few of their nests before, it makes them extremely easy to spot, way more so than in daylight. In fact you can sometimes just follow a trail of tiny green specs (their babies which move around the nest a lot at night). They say for every one you do see, theres always about 200 more that you don't see. I wouldn't doubt it for a second. You can exterminate a nest by only killing all of the bigger ones, the baby ones don't have enough venom to stun anything. A realy long fork and a blacklight is all you need
