Save State problem

I saved a "Zelda: Master Quest" state file in the PJ64 format, and when I open the state file using PJ64 the screen gets black for 2 seconds and the game restarts. What do I do?

Save states are not interchangeable between emulators. You should use the in-game saving feature if you want the saves to work in other emulators as well.

The 1964 manual says this:
You may choose "To File..." to save to a file of your choice. This will save it in the latest 1964 save state format. "To 1964 0.8.5 format" will save it to a format compatible with versions 0.8.5 and earlier. Saving to a Project64 save state will save the state to a format that can be used in Project64 (PJ64).

Soooo?

My bad, I didn't know that 1964 had an option to save PJ64 save states files. Either way, it's kinda obvious that som ething is wrong with that savestate if it doesn't work.

I changed the in game saved game and now it works in PJ64, so it doesn't matter now. It would be great if all the emulators had the same save state file.
