I can't tell you exactly, cause like I said before, I only have a GF2MX400,. I noticed a little better image quality, but let me explain:

I always have the card turned on performace mode, with no AA or Filtering. Its the only way I can get ~60fps on NFS6. If I do try to turn it on, crap ensues. With the Omega drivers, its like setting it on Balanced or Quality mode instead of Performance, but I don't loose any performance over it. I still can't do any AA or Filtering, but I can at least have decent textures that make a game look beautiful. I never thought NFS6 looked so good till I played it with the new drivers.

NOTE: My Omega drivers are 44.03, I don't know if he got any more out after that, and if they're any better...

* Important: Due to a serious problem I had with these drivers, they will
work in "Performance" mode only, even if you select "Quality" during
installation, they will be updated as soon as I can fix it.
This confirms your prob i think ;).

He sais it will be fixed but due to nvidia it wont be fixed :(

Okay, something dawned on me yesterday...Omega tweaks the nV drivers, right? If he can do it, than other people must do it too, wouldn't they? Is there anyone else that does this type of stuff? Or has the little "n" and big "V" stopped em all?

I doubt anyone else will bother, he is allowed to carry on doing it but after the hassle with ordering other sites to remove them there is no point.

Compare and contrast Nvidias shoddy attitude with ATIs who have (on Rage3D) publically offered assistance towards him in the development of these unofficial drivers. That is tremendous customer service, and I dare say that ATI have gained themselves another customer in the immediate future because of it (the cards are excellent as well so that helps!)

By the way, I know someone whose ATi Rage 128 Pro failed, and he sent it to ATi...

...and they sent him a Radeon 64DDR as a replacement. This was about 2 months before Radeon 8500's release.

Now THAT is a return policy ^^

You think thats generous? Read this!

For example, take one guy who was asking about the possibility of upgrading his integrated graphics. Terry on a whim suggested that since he could not give him a PCI video card at the moment since his Gateway system didn't have an AGP slot. Instead Terry proposed that we just replace his entire system and he could donate his entire system in the name charity in the name of MML2. ATI, convinced AMD to supply an Athlon XP 3000, ABIT supplied a motherboard, Areocool Case/Deep Impact Heatsink Fan Combo, All American Computers donated a power supply, Corsair donated the RAM, and we recycled the hard drive from his former system and low and behold this unsuspecting attendee wound up with a new computer. Perhaps the best part of the deal was that Terry arranged for All American Computers to build this system. We have never seen anything like this before, all because he asked a question.

To be honest I've never tried detonators with a touch of omega but how big can the difference be? And didn't the guy behind the drivers state, in the quote on the 1st page on this thread, that he only combined tweaks that were already floating around. It's probaly a lot of work but if the tweaks are already there you could probaly do the same with a little trial and error...

Remote, that's the point, with Omega's drivers you already have all the tweaks ready and applied rather than spending 30-60 minutes doing it yourself.

NVIDIA DRIVER NEWS

(19 July 2003)

Nvidia have recently contacted Driverheaven with a statement allowing Omegas drivers to continue development.

Omegadrive and Driverheaven will be hopefully working closely with nvidia in the future regarding drivers and support to further aid the community. Zardon
So good news it is :p

I guess if he gets better support from nVidia in the future, or if the tweaks becomes incoporated in the drivers but not turned on by default this might turn out to be something good....
