Rom Trouble

So here's the deal. i got project 64 today. got mario 64. started playing everything fine. then i thought i'd try playing mario party. so i get the file and my antivirus thinks its a virus cause it was saved as mario_party.exe (name doesn;t matter just the fact its a .exe). So my anti virus changes the name and i cant play it. so i try changing the name into mario_party.n64 (doesn;t work), tryed changing it to mario_party.zip (doesn;t work, says no files to extract) and i tryed changing it to .exe (still didn;t work). i've tryed it 3 different times, 3 different sites. still cant get it to work.

sry for the long post. thought i'd be thourough.

Since it had the extension "exe" to begin with - depending on where you downloaded it, it very well could be infected with something.

It probably is a virus. When does the virus warning occur? (i.e. what do you do to make the warning appear) Before playing with the file make sure you have a restore point.

The exe file itself cannot run straight from PJ64. If you double click the file you may find it’s a self extracting file that will present you with the ROM.
