To date, Nintendo has never released a console above the price of 25,000 yen ($217) in Japan.
Well, sony's products are always expensive. We musn't compare them to nintendo's. As far as I can remember, nintendo's products has always been cheaper, and they make money on selling them to boot, as compared to the current situation of the ps3/xbox 360, where both companies will lose loads of money on every console sold and made.cooliscool said:Goddamn, that is an awesome price. Cheaper than a freakin' PSP (well, the value pack at least..)!

A friend of mine paid $80 for Shadows of the Empire in the early days. I actually enjoyed the game at the time, though my (used) copy cost me far, far less.Jaz said:I remember the N64 being stupidly priced (in the UK at least). Somewhere around the £350 mark rings a bell. And the games too - I remember Turok being sold for £70! Madness!
