I really don't understant why people want to get rid of those dummy files.

If the problem is HD space then simply compress the ISOs as zip, rar, 7z, ace, whatever. The iso space ocupied by the dummy files contains absolutely redundant information and compresses so well that it's like it isn't even there. Plus... in the end chances are the compressed image will be even smaller than the uncompressed one without the dummy. :)

Messing around with isos isn't really THAT fun... IMHO it simply isn't worth the effort.

Yah, but making a new image without the dummy file is faster than compressing it... compressing it can take a LONG time (depending on the contents). If you're lucky, it takes 5-10 minutes, but generally (for me at least), large files that compress to around 300MB take about 10-20 minutes... unless I'm doing something wrong and don't know how to compress (I probably don't) :p
