Reading as a music cd

I seem to be having difficulty..this is my first experiance with a dreamcast emulator so bare with me..ive read just about every single post on the boards and still havent found an answer to my problem yet.. im trying to get skies of arcadia to work and everytime i run it it reads it only as a music cd (with two tracks) and when i go to the menu and go to "play" it asks me to insert the cd.. im complety clueless as to what to do..any help would be much appreciated =)

chankast can't run official dreamcast discs, computer hardware cannot read them.

Sorry..

I should have clarified..im trying to run a .cdi file..i have both disks but they both do the same thing..ive tried diffrent bios and they all do the same thing.. i just dont know what to do

Did you mount the image on a virtual drive (Alcohol120%/Daemon Tools) and select the virtual drive from the config?

The verison you have is probably non-selfboot, use Fastboot or Exoboot to make it a selfboot version and it should work fine in chankast.

Ive tried using exoboot but i cant figure out how to turn a .cdi into a bootable .cdi it just seems to be able to turn iso's into cdi's..im so very confused heh

After the installation of ExoBoot, the installation of Daemon Tools 3,29 will start. With this tool you can make selfboot images from non selfboot image or gurn a cd. If you already has this program or you Don't want to install it you can cansel the installation by pressing the cancel button.
I can... gurn a cd? That's nice.

Try finding a boot disc, that's all I'll say.

Try replacing the bios & flash files with the originals. If i remember correctly this fixed similar problem.

Ive heard people talk about the american and japenese bios..and about the blue and red swirl..but oddly enough my swirl is BLACK..and thats from a couple diffrent bios (although they really could be all the same for all i know) any idea whats with that?
