DK graphics issues

I founded a graphics issue playing "DK arcade" (the original one, wow!) in "Frantic factory" using Jabo's Direct3D 1.40 plugins. I recommend to use an older plugin version (Jabo's D3D 1.30 is ok)... or Mame instead.

Another graphic issue appears taking a photo of a fairy (at least I think so because the photo is black).

Re: "what is DK arcade?"

Smiff, "DK arcade" is the name that Rare gave to the ORIGINAL Donkey Kong (Copyright 1981 Nintendo) reprodution you can play in "Frantic factoy" (and also in the mystery submenu after you photograf 6 fairies).

i don't know what AV means but i get an Opcode error w/f3dex 1.xx. and when i start the game w/f3dex 2.xx i can see the purple border(needs a screen w/ strong lighting)

AV is my shorthand of Access Violation (God i'm cool). I get one of those, not a UO (Unhandled Opcode). Ur prolly right tho thanks.

Mario no Photopie

I've been doing some research, and I think this may not be a game at all. There were two Mario Artist "games" released in Japan, Paint Studio and Talent Studio, both for the 64DD. The Talent Studio shipped with a special cartridge with ports built in for the capturing of images to use in the "game". I have a sneaking suspicion Mario no Photopie is the rom of this cartridge, assuming it had a rom in it. I figure it's possible the cartridge would play a small piece of music in a loop while flashing a message on the screen telling the user to insert one of the Mario Artist disks into the 64DD.

IGN has reviews here and here for the Mario Artist games, and here is a pic of the cartridge in question.

Only the japanese version of Nagano Winter Olympics is working and is fully playable with PJ64 1.3.
GT64 loads on PJ64 1.3 but the gfx are really messed up so it's not really nice to look at.

"Frantic factory" is the third level of Donkey Konk 64. Sorry for misunderstanding.

something very strange is going on here smiff...

dave's beta plugin which has Ucode CRC detection claims that Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits Volume 1 and WCW Nitro have the same Ucode CRC... but you have set them to different Microcodes in the rdb...

i would say you made a mistake, BUT PJ64 detects them as different Microcode IDs... any ideas (notice the pun :p)

who else has tried these games?

Nagano Winter Olympics - for me, stalls second or two after starting
GT64 - for me, runs but can't see or hear anything.

i must be doing something dipshit here cos I had Nagano Winter Olympics (J)-only down as working for v1.3 but can't think what
