Rapid Speed Changes

I've never had a problem with this before and all of a sudden my fps is going up and down like a maniac. It will shoot up to 400+ fps and then not 1 second later drop to below 40 and back to 350+ within a second or two and continues this pattern on, on, and on. Anything i could do to fix?

Care to explain what was happening or how you fixed it?

Not entirely sure what the cause was, but i explained it above. and the fix was i was looking through the settings/files etc., and found that somehow the fps limit had been shut off.:sombrero:
