question for Rice : why not that ?

i would like to know why topgear overdrive is now playable with 1964 ?

i say that because i'm able to get to the title with nemu (with your plugin and also others) but with all the plugins i try (your's included) i got this bug:

try to Read32 from unhandled or invali memory, at adress .....

so is it a emulator or a gfx plugin problem ?

thanks for the answer and thanks for your great plugin ...

To be honest, I don't know exactly why. A video plugin is supposed not to affect the emulator core. The only reason I can imagine is the way how RDP interrupt is generated in a video plugin.

Expansion pack games often have problems. Star Wars Episode Racer and a few other games have it disabled by default since it screws up the resolution.

that's the point so: Expansion pack could be source of problem

expansion pak are increasing resolution from 320x200 to 640x480 for some games and also are using for extra frame buffer effect: that cause the problem

It seems to happen only with games which have a optional Expansion pak support . I don't have any problems with exp. pack requiring games like Donkey Kong or banjo-tooie (besides the other issues :p)

i think that expansion pak is not needed for topgear overdrive (not sure) . i think it's the way it's used that is important (it's seems that for framebuffer effect there's no problem but may be with store data or high resolution)

Banjo-Tooie does not require the expansion pack, or even have it as an optional thing. Nor did Conker's Bad Fur Day. I own these games for real ;)

high res mode for the kemco games is 640x250

low res to 320x250 here ? and not 320x240 as usual (why not ?)

Perfect Dark (U) also has major problems with it's hi-res mode, although I always thought this type of thing to be plugin issues, but what do I know.

Shadow man works in 1964 0.9.9 with Jabo,Rice,Glide, and others

try without expansion pack and it crashes for sure: expansion are able also to solve issues: but it should be playable without it and it's not the case.

try perfect dark without expansion (not required for access some type of level (challenge)): same problem than topgear overdrive: the music run but no gfx ........
