question about my controller

Hello all. Here is my problem... Im using a boom usb n64/ps2 converter. Everything on the n64 controller works great, except for the stick. Whenever I play Zelda or Jet Force Gemini, the fastest my characters will go is a slow walk. I have tried resetting the dead zone, and it doesnt help. Anyone have any suggestions? P.S. I tried searching for this first, so if it's already here, please dont shoot me.

Yes, I tried that. The only thing I could do was make my controller not work at all. Im using the default controller plugin. It's strange cuz I can use the analog stick in other emulators fine. This is the only problem with PJ64 that I have. Thanks for the speedy response!

I'll say the same thing I've said to everyone else that has asked this question:

Calibrate it, Control Panel/Gaming Options.

Tried that too. Everything seems to calibrate correctly, however when I start a game the characters move very slow. My controller doesnt work unless I use the default plugin. Maybe I am doing the whole X and Y thing wrong, can someone verify this? Which one corresponds with what direction? Thanks to all who have helped out so far.

Well, I just want to post that I figured it out for anybody else with the problem. It WAS a callibration issue... but callibrating with Psx Gamepad driver is different from I expected... to allow the analog pad to have a higher instensity, you want to increase the second number for both axis... I changed mine from 0 to 30.
