Quad Core Support on Dolphin?

Do you think there is going to be any quad core support on dolphin. These are my specifications:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 Ghz
Galaxy Geforce 8800gt 512 mb
3 gb ram
Vista Home Premium 64bit

If quad was supported I'm sure that games would run at full speed. All there would be left is for the Dolphin team to get the audio fixed (for god's sake, Gamecube has such a weird documentation) and pimp out the video by getting some fixes and stuff. It's really a work in progress so there is not much more I can say.

Probably not in the near future, if ever. Splitting a task into two tasks that can be efficiently executed in parallel is far from trivial in emulation, and it's quite possible that it won't be feasible at all. It'd be nice if I turned out to be wrong though.

already explained, plain useless, no speed improvement.

the "emulator core" cannot be splitted to work on more than 1 CPU core at the same time. The current dual core version only removes the weight of the video processing from one core and drops it on the other so the "emulator core" has more for itself.

Well *technically* you could split the audio processing into another core and the input processing into a final core lol.

But that would not give a speed improvement of over 2fps, and it would require a lot of work for nothing, and let me tell you, it would look like shit coding practice.
