PSU Reccomendations

Looking for a good quiet PSU, preferably one that comes with rubber boots for protection, any suggestions?

You should try -this- one , it's nearly unhearable ! Good for silent PC's .

Go for a good, expensive one from a good brand with a 12cm fan with low noise..

Remote... expensive? When you say expensive are you saying a quality one worth its price? Because when I think of the work expensive, I think something ridiculously priced.

Shadow, I need something from the US, I am not prepared to pay customs a fortune to import it.

I have a Vantec Stealth 520W, it's almost completely silent at low fan mode. You should be able to pick up one of the Vantec Stealth (420, 470 or 520W) in the US for a reasonable price, I can truly recommend them.

The OCZ PSUs are spose to be some of the best and quietest on the market, im using a pretty cheap one myself at the mo, will get a good quality one next though

Eagle: Yeah, you shouldn't go for a redicoulosy priced one but if you get one for USD 50 or something like that, it's probaly not as good as a 100 USD one but that's mostly common sense. I can't remember the name of my PSU but they manufacture PSU for Zalman amongst other so it's quality without the brand. Wasn't that cheap though..

I use an Antec (400w) PSU and can't hear it. My case fans are another story. =-\
