hey guys!
i wanted to play some nintendo 64 with a projector, unfortunately it doesn´t work! the screen of project64 always remains dark after the rom has been loaded. when i check the option to use the projector to extend my desktop i can move it "onto" the projector but it´s very slow!what can i do against all these problems?

What're your laptops computer specs? because to have a dual view setup, AND be running an N64 emu on one would require a good bit of processing power.

ok,its a quite new gericom laptop, about 3 ghz pentium 4,radeon with 128 mb i think, and lots of ram!the projector is plugged in as a monitor, not by using the tv-out.but why doesn´t it work when i switch off the laptop´s display and just use the projector as a display?the pj64 screen always remains dark!

huh. thats strange. could u try tv-out if u wanted to? give that a shot if possible. and be sure u have the latest video drivers for ur card. I really dont know. I have myself an NVidia card, not that new, but it does the job. anyways, it works fine with tv out and what not. could be a projector thing, try hookin it up the tv and seeing if that works. I'm just throwing out possibilities. Hope something comes up.

That is strange. You are using PJ64 v1.5 and a compatable game, right? Also make sure you'r rom isn't corrupt. That's all I can think of.

Well, extend works for me bountyjedi, so i wouldnt say thats a general problem with everyone. I'd say give it a shot anyways, never know what might happen.

Yes. Drivers CAN make a big difference, sometimes at least. I remember when i first got a card with tv-out. As soon as i hooked it up and tried to watch a movie from my computer on the tv, i was gettin the same exact problem u are. Anyways, long story short, updated drivers, fixed problem =). Hope something comes up for ya.
