Hello.

I really think that Project 64 is the best Emulator for N64 Games ever, but I think that there are 3 thinks to make it even more perfect!

First an Memory Editor for Cheat Fools like me.

Second an official Ingame Trainer like PCS

Thirk (found on nemu 0.8) A video Maker with avi files.

Four: Online Gaming

Then your work would be even better.

Anyway, thanks for everything you did until know :)

I actually agree, but I don't think they'll be plugins more like features.

Anyway:

First idea: Yeah, I know tons of people that want to use PJ64 for GS hacking

Second idea: Hmm... dunno what this is

Third idea: Yes this would be useful

Fourth idea: Not sure (on a 56k)

re

PCS is a plugin created by Parasyte, who works exactly like an Ingame Trainer. (Xploder, Game Shark)

With this little .dll you are able to find cheats with values like "known" value, "unknown" value, greater or smaller then, same...

It works perfectly with every Game tested (Even Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora)

(For Ocarina and Ura, please set the Memory Size to 8 MB, otherwise the plugin won't work.

It is a cheat finder.

PCS 0.2 : http://parasyte.panicus.org/projects/PCS/PCS_v0.02.rar

copy the file to your Plugin Folder an (IMPORTANT) create a new text file and copy this (on the second line, yo need to enter the path with your plugin, like this for example: C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Nekojin\Desktop\N64\Project 64\Plugin\Jabo_Direct3D8.dll"

[Main]
GfxPlugin="C:"
ramsize=8388608
searchsize=0
win_x=288
win_y=136
cfg_x=147
cfg_y=309

I wonder why they're not implenting Kaillera support for PJ64.. I mean yeah theres PJ64k but why not adding it to PJ64 1.6 or whatever the current version is.

*Warning* My opinon, please don't flame me *Warning*
I think Kaillera Support would be an aweful idea. Online gaming through N64 emu's is a cool gimmick, but it still failed in the process of doing so. I played my brother and it seemd we were playing different races/ challenges when we actually weren't. When following the guide to make it properly work, alot of features and items used are stripped down to almost bare bones of Emulation. Right now, I currently do not like Kaillera support on the N64 emus and it wouldn't be healthy for some as we would be throwing our computers out the window because of fustration. When people start grabbing faster computers or some kind of new/faster internet comes out or some kind of better online support function (for emulators) is able to be made, I might try it...
We shall see...

Who said Netplay couldnt get improved and besides, I play online with friends through 1964 all the time since i'm a 1964 fanboy and it works perfectly but PJ64 I don't know, since it's popular and all.

Yeah it is apparently

Make a feature request, ask when the next version is coming out, ask for a port to any platform, or ask for source code.

but talking about it isn't much asking so I ain't breaking any rules.

*hear rattling chains behind the group talking about this subject...*
Wait... wasn't that Smiff...
****! He's going to lock the thread for a rule being broken! Run for your lives everyone!
*I try to run for my life but a huge lock encircles my body and I hear a Demonic voice say "Your not going anywhere!" I scream and kick but then i find out I'm still in my chair near my computer table... it was all a dream. Wait... that thread is locked...*

Gent wants this too, as well as debugging and lots of other tools to help find and create cheats, I have done some stuff for it and will probally get it all done at some stage

Second an official Ingame Trainer like PCS

I am not sure what else there is that could not be done with cheats ?

Thirk (found on nemu 0.8) A video Maker with avi files.

Would be a nice idea, but something jabo would have to do. who knows if we will have the time for it

There is PJ64k, I would like to get netplay in. But more work needs to be done on the core for rock solid netplay. To much code especially audio can cause it go out of syn. I would want it that you coulud play for 4 hours and it not go out of sync at all for me to think it is worth having.

wow The netplay answer just suckerpunched me directly and violently in the face but that remains an acceptable answer.

Thanks for replying Zil.

PJ64k is kinda cool but its just so annoying when there is many games you want to play and it just doesnt support them. I know you guys are more concerned about compatibility and stability which is understandable and respectable I know there are thousands of people who use PJ64 and wish it had Netplay.

PJ64 is the great emulator I have ever used. There are only two things I even have other N64 emulators for and that is 1964 for Netplay (which doesnt work that well truthfully) and Nemu64 for it's Memory Debugger. If PJ64 had just these two features added it could easily be referred to as the King of N64 Emus. It is already the best overall but with those two options there would be no comparison.

1964 sucks for online play because it goes out of sync which can be solved by deactivating the sound plugins. It sucks but it works.

I know you guys wouldnt do it but if I had the option I would pay for the 1.6 source just so I can add Kaillera to it.

Don't missunderstand my post, I am not requesting these features. I am just stating the truth and that is that if PJ64 had these features it would make all other emus obsolete.

I even tried to improve the 1.4 core and make my own PJ64k version and after 5-6 months of working on it I have come to the conclusion that I suck. lol
