Project 64 Goes Slow....

Ok,I Have Even Tried Demos,Top Speed I Get Is 40.00 FPS.I Have No Idea What Is Causing This.Should I Get Different Plugins?

Hmmm.... I Think The Problem Is Jabo's Direct3D 6.1.5.The Thing Is That Dadelus Plugin Is Good,The Sound Doesn't Seem To Work On Many Games.What Other Plugins Are There?

Take a look furthest down on the main page here and check out the downloads section. Contains lots of plugins. Recommended are rice's and glide64 besides jabo's. Icepir's isn't that bad either but not fully as good as the other two. And don't forget to get evoodoo if downloading glide64.

Evoodoo is a Glide wrapper that is needed if you wish to use Glide64 without having a Glide capable card, eg. A Voodoo card.

Put Evoodoo in the main emu folder, ie /PJ64 and Glide64 in the plugins folder /PJ64/Plugins for example.

Can you not use the search button btw? To answer your question, Evoodoo is available from the downloads section...

Also, I recommend getting the Service Pack if you haven't already as it will give you updated settings, cheats, graphics plugin (1.5.1) and more, that will hopefully fix any problems you have, particularly relating to Jabo's gfx plugin. Experimenting with gfx plugins as already suggested is a very good idea.

No. I mean reformat the hard disk drive with a formatting utility, then
do a fresh install of Windows. BTW, sorry, you probably are going to have to reinstall Windows, so you can install new drivers from scratch without the drivers conflicting with existing junk.

Reformatting is the final solution IMHO, not one for in this situation! A good computer tech should never reformat a machine unless it is absoloutely neccessary. If you think it's a driver issue use a driver cleaner to remove old ones.

If a driver cleaner fails to remove the driver associated registry entries, probably you are required to reinstall Windows.

They are known problems. Try playing games such as:

Mario Kart
Zelda
Super Mario64

Those games pretty much work 100%, it could well be you are playing games that have intermittent slowdown issues (heavy framebuffer for example).

CPU core: Recompiler
Self mod code method: Check Memory advance
Default Memory size: 8MB
Adv Block linking: on

try to change these settings at ROM SETTINGS too.
Im using default plugins (except audio I use). With the system spec I have I can go 150fps in game and at least 200+ on menus if I dont limit fps.
