proj64 on my notebook

i can't play any game in my notebook with proj64 but i can't understand why. The program loads correctly,but when i run a rom it reaches the 100% and then the windows come back to the main rom list.
I've a p4 1,6ghz with 256mb ram, prosavage ddr.
someone could help me????pls!!!!!

i don't know the savage chipset indeed (i think pn133 but i'm not sure at all) ....but i've downloaded the latest driver.

Hmm...
Well I used to have a savage 4 on windows me, and it would crash due to driver problems. On the other hand it worked fine on w2k. I am quite sure it's a driver problem. Try using different compatibility options, like for w2k or 98. That might fix it, although I wouldn't bet on it.

In WinXP (and probably in Win2k too) : right-click on the EXE, go to Properties and select the Compatibility tab.

nothin,i can't solve the problem........

i can't understand why it loads the rom and then comes back to the main screen! even an errore message......but nothing.

hey i've noticed one more thing men! this problem is present only when i run papermario, but when i run different roms all goes right. mybe i've to set it in someway? in win me i didn't need to set it up....

Then possibly is a corrupted ROM. Try downloading another copy from another site.

About compatibility settings in Win2k :

I think you have to create a shortcut/PIF and edit its properties to set the compatibility mode.

Like Malcolm, I'm pretty sure it's there - I had to set Win98 compatibility mode for StarCraft before I could join LAN games from a Win2k box.

Doesn't hurt to know.
