about 3/4 times, when I close the program after a rom has been loaded or try to switch to a diff game after a game's been loaded, the program crashes.

System specs?

Windows XP SP2 / Windows XP SP1 / Windows 2000
1.73Ghz Pentium M / Not sure / AMD something
512mb Ram / Not Sure / 512mb ram
Nvidia Geforce Go 6600 / nvidia something / Nvidia Geforce 5?00

It happens on all three of those system specs which leads me to believe that it's either from using an nvidia graphics card, or, having 512mb ram, or it's something wrong with the program.

EDIT: this happens all the time when using OpenGL with Rice's plugin, but happens sporadicly when using DirectX.

From this, it appears it doesn't like your drivers. Try downloading the latest (if these are the latest, try downloading earlier ones) and see what happens?

actually it's not pj64. I just tried Jabo's graphics plugin and it works, is there a thread where I can report this error for Rice's graphics plugin?

The bug lies in PJ64 - you get a crash with any OpenGL plugin. This bug was introduced in PJ64 v1.6. I believe the authors are now aware of this problem, so will hopefully be fixed in a future version perhaps.
