Problems with pop-ups

Hi,
I got some popups before too and I noticed that if I dont run Msn messenger I dont get them and yes im using a popup blocker and of course with my firewall up I dont get any. Maybe it's messenger who knows. I also run spybot it says its a gator thing . Use a good firewall is best advice I can give .

mns is not running, i use trillian but closed and i have zone alarm :getlost:

Hi,

Try Firefox browser . See if you still get those popups . I only droped my firewall and tested to see if I could get one with IE . I downloaded firefox when it came out and havn't had any problems with it , but see if you like it .
If you already have it and still get them I dont know what to tell you.

I use IE 6.0 and get no pop-ups or even any ads on any site. I use Norton Internet Security 2004 and it's firewall. Sped up web-browsing on my 56K no end!

I decided to download firefox, and I am impressed with it. It's a hell of a lot better than IE, and the pop-up blocker seems to be working flawless so far.

If for some reason you're also talking about the damn popups that come up with some messanging thing that has nothing to do with MSN Messanger (and when not even browsing the internet), this stupid thing should be disabled. One of the first things I do once I format.
