These are my graphics settings.

That is a quick cap of LoZOoT.

As you can see, my desktop flickers on while playing. This happens with Jabbo's and Rice's plugin btw. How do I fix this? (My desktop resolution is 1280x1024 btw if that helps)

Also quick question...I'm going to order an Adaptoid tonight. I've read around a bit and so far I think it's the best one. Is it the best n64 to usb adapter? Yes, I'm a nub, just downloaded all of this today, really interested in playing all the n64 games I missed out on.

My Specs if it matters:

win xp pro sp1, 1 gb ram, radeon 9600 pro, a64 3400+.

well, i've never seen that problem on any version of NT (2k,XP).
what happens when you use the normal windows shell?
(Sorry not very helpful).
ATI catalyst version? (current is 5.4)
Also you should know that 1280x1024 is a non-4:3 aspect. this is Bad (distorts game). try 1280x960.
yes the adaptoid is recommended.

Changing to 1280x960 didn't do anything.

Changing my shell to windows classic fixed my flickering problem.

I have one more problem though, when ever I have a game playing in a window, the game will run at 20fps and use 100% of my cpu. I have to quickly hit escape to run in full screen and then alt+f4 to close.

I have the latest Catalyst drivers btw.

The Adaptoid is sold out at all 3 places they are supposed to be sold at. I'd use ebay but it starts at $30 and it's sure to rise.

Just on a curious note... how are PC games?

Those features / applications you have running there... Do they steal focus (are they usually on top of other windows)?

I had this issue with a couple of PC games a whilst back, the fix was a certain XP SP2 update was causing it. The SP in particular was updated and the fixed version worked fine.

I'll see if I can dig up the name so you can check if you've got the older version installed.
