prepare a game for chankast

hey, good to be here.

im having trouble getting an .iso happening. Reason bieng, when i put a dc game (original, pal), the only thing the computer seems to get from it is a few text files and some games a few bmp images. So, for instance, when i made an image of sonic adventure, the file was 34.1mg, obviously somethings wrong.

After that i think i am doing everything right, using virtual daemon to make a virtual drive and mounting the image. Then in chankast choosing that drive and going to run.

Does anyone know how i can succesfully make an image from one of my orignal dc discs ? thanks in advance, much appreciated.

A normal CD-Rom cannot read GD-Roms, you have to use cables to link your dremcast to your computer.

you need all sorts of special equipment to do this right. a coders cable for starters. I saw someone post about doing it with clonecd but i highly doubt it.

really crikey thats not good. So unless i go out and get all this equipment, is the only way to get the games is images off the internet ??

Iv got a whole bunch off original games, but my dreamcast started having this problem about a year ago where it starts resetting every few minutes for no reason, which ofcourse makes it impossible to get anywhere in a game.
