Hi to all Emutalk car fanatics, I was wondering what car is the one you dream of, is it an sport car? perhaps you prefer the luxury of a Mercedes Benz? are you a 4X4 fanatic? Put you favourite car here!

For me I'm planning to buy the new Mazda Miata MX-5 Convertible, it can be found here in Chile for about US$ 24.000, and my other favourite ones are of course Porsche 911 Carrera (US$ 50.000, too much for me now...), Acura RSX Type2, and the Alfa Romeo GT, another one is the Chevrolet Corvette Convertible.

My favs. are the Corvette Z06, the Hennessey Venom 1000TT, and the late '60 - '70 Camaros. The Suzuki GSX R and Hayabusa are also nice. This is what i currently drive. :D

A great thing in my country, and probably others, is while a new Mazda Miata MX-5 Convertible is about US$24000, a second hand one (year 1998) can be found for US$12.000, so it's not worth paying so much for a new one, if two days after you bought it, the price will be half the original... IMHO

i like old american cars. well built, cheap, reliable, and if they are 64 or older, you don't need to wear seatbelts (legally) and the registration is SUPER CHEAP!

i'm working on restoring a car, but it's taking forever because i spend all my money on worthless pc crap that is outdated before i even order it.... :(

well, out of affordable cars or dream cars?

dream: Dodge Viper.

affordable: 1969 Pontiac Catalina, i fell in love with that bitch while i was in the states ;) i just couldnt even find a parking space for it around here, not to mention paying for fuel. yeah i love american cars :)

Yeah definetly don't get a brand new Miata. Get one at least 2 years old because you save so much money. If your budget is the price of a new one you could always buy rims or whatever if you are into that sorta thing.

My current car in need of replacement (It the underside is rusty and the heat doesn't work) is a 1981 Datsun 280zx. It looks nice overall but on close inspection it's a little worn. I'll be buying a new car in a couple months but haven't decided on a specific model yet, I will buy whatever car I like that I can get for the best deal. Some possible candidates are 90's Lexus LS400, Lexus IS 300, Acura RSX-S, Nissan 300zx, Toyota Supra (I know way too popular but they are real rare around here). There are other too.

Ideally I want something modern, RWD, Manual Trans, Decent Amount of low end Torque, and 4 seats. But those aren't musts. I like older 60's car's a lot (old car's in mint condition tend to get way more stares than new cars in mint condition) but I think getting something new will suit my needs more.

As for favorite car, the BMW M3 would be ranked among my favorites for sure.

Hi Jdsony, the Acura RSX is a good option: exotic, fast and beautiful.

And of course the Toyota Supra is a good one too.
