HLE rocks and LLE sucks. That's how you want it, right?
Then I guess more work on the plugin is needed since it cracks and does all kinds of weird things sometimes.

LLE doesnt suck. it has its place. Jabo's LLE audio is about as good as it gets, AFAIK. if ur pc is so good, azimer's audio shouldnt crack. u prolly hav a setting wrong, but thats for another thread.

I feel quite strongly on this issue (obviously).

Step #1 - Doom, you are obviously a Project64 mark, but so is Smiff and his judgement isn't impaired. Try something for me once Sir lover of LLE. Use my audio plugin in LLE (don't send Audio Lists to the plugin). Record a sample to a wave file. Play it. Turn on Audio Lists to the plugin. Repeat the test. Compare the two samples. Do you notice a different (for the average test case... especially about "crackles")? I'm afraid you don't. Like Jabo, I am also a perfectionist of sorts in what I do.

Step #2 - Everything can be done in HLE. I proved that quite vividly with MP3 and (soon to be) MusyX. Realize this.

Step #3 - Everything should be LLE in the end? LLE is better then HLE? Uhhh... for pure accuracy... I agree. But doesn't that mean R4300 Cores should be Cycle accurate and Jabo's Graphics should be in Software Rendering mode using a software rasterizer he built? Think about what you are saying.

Step #4 - One thing I agree with Lemmy about is the lack of uniqueness Project64 specs bring to all the emulators. Would you REALLY WANT Project64 Part 2 in 1964 ? Think about that as well.

Step #5 - I started my Audio plugin because there was a need for Audio back in the day of TR64 (over a year ago). If that was never the case, I would have never started. Realize that I HATE wasting my time on useless things. And also realize the only fun I get out of my Audio.DLL is FROM HLE... I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE making Audio Code (like the AudioCode-Only plugs in Jabo's/Zilmar's). I would have never started. Would this have been a bad thing? Ask yourself this.

Step #6 - Think of a rebuttle and post it here. I don't take lightly people disregarding things I spent hours of labor on because of misconceptions.

Ummm... to say, I've had problems with your plugin. At least in 1964, I think, maybe that's it. And...well, I trust LLE more than HLE, 'cuz in LLE you wouldn't need these "hacks". But I guess there's no problems with the plugin.

I don't know TOO much about emulators. Not the technical part. I know that switching to LLE now would be a mistake. Since eveything can be made in HLE, I guess there shouldn't be any changing to LLE at all...

I don't care if Pj is included in 1964 at all. But it's just that I don't like 1964 'cuz of all the bugs. No offense. And, well, exmaple when trying to open plugin (audio) configuration, it sometimes hangs. And 1964 results in a worse sound-quality than pj.

Mmkay. So I suppose your plugins is equal, and that it's 1964's fault.

I usually tend to use Jabo's plugin in Pj, and 'cuz it doesn't work in 1964, I use yours.

if you're going to compare, at least do it with the same emu, same rom, and same settings..

azimer is extremely busy, and does everything he does [and eventually releases it] with the goodness of his heart. he doesnt have to write another single line of code, or release anything if he doesnt want to. i suggest you be happy with what you're given..

as far as LLE with the audio, name 5 things wrong with the current state of his HLE plugin [apart from musyx, and his bug list which he released with apollo 0.30 i believe] and maybe he would even take a second to think about it..

Technically, you can still do LLE and use hardware 3d for high res graphics. This is what PSX emulators do. Zinc(arcade PSX hardware emu) does it too.

well just to say i think you should work on yur audio plug-in all the way until its perfect and make the buffer size instead the minimum of 0.5 buffer size try 0.0 ^_^. if its possible.
