Pokemon Snap Woes Continue

Pretty sure this was mentioned previously, but don't brush it off with a "read the GameFAQs" or something similar, because the PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS.

In Pokemon Snap, it seems that even though I've selected "Copy framebuffer to RDRAM," the pictures appear glitched and unviewable in the album screens.
On top of this, the game does not recognize any Pokemon IN the pictures. The rare few that do get recognized and selected, are mistaken by Prof. Oak as a Pokemon sign, and that's the end of that.

My specs are:
Project64 v.1.6 (using all default plugins)
Latest RDB
Latest graphics driver (ATI Catalyst 5.11, released yesterday!)
Windows XP SP2
Pokemon Snap (U)
Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz
512 MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9200

I think that's about all the specs needed.
Please give me some help here, my sister and I really want to play this game.

The hell?
Two days and not even an acknowledgement.
Wow, you guys sure are helpful.
I said before, these are NOT the issues discussed previously.
These are NEW errors in PJ64 v1.6.
Please recommend some fixes to this.

Could be a driver problem, since the copy RDRAM option appears to be broken with the 5.11 cats (at least for me it is). You could try using the latest Glide64+Hacktarux wrapper with 'Read every frame' enabled to see the pictures.

OK, thanks for the tip.
What do you mean by 5.11 cats? That's new to me.
And although seeing the pictures is nice, having the game recognize that there are Pokemon IN said pictures is the big issue.
Saying that this is fixed in PJ64 1.6 is a gross misstatement.

EDIT: Oh wait. Catalyst 5.11. Aaaaah.
2nd EDIT: OK, tried out Glide64 with no luck. PJ64 crashed after I got to Oak's report. Why do I get the feeling I'd need to pay $20 before anyone starts to fix this?

It worked for me in testing - no issues at all.

I'll have to test it again.

TehSuigi, sort out your attitude. No one owes you anything. Please act like an adult and the issue will be investigated - indeed it has already been noted that people are having trouble with this.

Ok, try this out:

Play as normal without Copy RDram on. Get to the Pokemon report page and switch the option on - go onto the pictures and scroll to the next set of pictures, then scroll back. All pictures should show up now. Just verified to work. Or just enable it at the end of the level and the pictures will show up immediately.

As for the Pokemon report, turn D3D Transform on before entering the page - this was something that seemed to effect a few people. It effected me for a while but now seems to have gone.

Pokemon signs issue is being investigated, those who have played the game before a picture of where each sign should be would be very helpful.

I apologize for my previous comments.
It's a little frustrating when there's a problem with no solution.
And even moreso when that problem seems to evaporate. The game now recognizes the Pokemon in the pictures without any issue.
And I am thoroughly stumped.

However, I tried the fix you described in the above post (thanks), and the pictues in the album still refuse to show.
This may be because the 5.11 ATI Catalyst driver doesn't support this option somehow (as previously mentioned above).
I might roll back my driver if no other solution can be found.

Thanks for the help!

EDIT: By the way, which GFX plug-ins are you guys using? It might be that. At the moment, I use Jabo's D3D8 1.6.

Umm... How do you disable and enable RDRAM? Sorry for my n00bness. I fugured it out, but I don't have an Advanced tab in Configure Graphics plugin.

I'm having the EXACT same problems, with the exception of the disappearing of the problem. I've updated my video drivers about 100 times (currently nVidia 81.98), and to no avail. I've already posted somewhere my akward symptoms (the picture flashes when I change pictures, but only for a moment). I've tried the "Copy to RDRAM" for the whole game AND only during the album preview section, but again, to no avail.

Are you using FSAA and/or Anisotropic filtering? If you are, turn those off. I remember reading that the framebuffer effects don't work if those two are enabled.

I can confirm that the PKMN Sign thing happened to me once, but hasn't happened to me again since... instead, despite having followed the instructions in the Game FAQ, the game claims that all of my pictures has no Pokemon in it (no, this is not actually the case) and does not allow me to mark any of them to show Prof. Oak (thus, I haven't gotten the PKMN Sign error again, not even getting to that point, but if I could, I very well might).

Aside from that, I can get into the PKMN Report, and see the pictures fine, when I use the advanced options mentioned. It's just they are all declared as having no Pokemon in them, so marking them to be shown to Prof. Oak is impossible.
