True, but it'll probably greatly reduce the number of idiots who do this2fast4u said:weve been thru this kind of kind of ideas multiple times actually...
you get a huge ass reminder of that when you join. and reminding people in even more ways about the rules probably wont help a lot in my opinion. after all most people who join the board with the intention of asking for roms there will do it even if they know they arent allowed to because they dont care if they get banned.
But a warning message which appears before posting a new thread, could work! But only the first 20 post, then it stops and the n00bs should had understood what this message means!ScottJC said:most n00b's won't even read the PM's so there is little point to this.
I say we ban all new members, just to be on the safe side.

Usually the people who get banned quickly are newbies, if we rounded em up the mods might have an easier time dealing with them, just a thought.
I like that ideaPsyMan said:Talking about PMs... After a release/update of an emulator there is a quite high number of n00bs who register and in order to avoid being banned they ask for illegal matterial via PMs (this is quite annoying). We could set a minimum number of posts before someone could send a PM. What do you think?

Right... so when they need help, they come, register, wait a week, then post their problems? Don't think so. I think they'll search elsewhere, actually.dominoman said:One way of encouraging sensible posting is to let new members only view posts for the first week after registering, but not reply or post new threads.
