The ultimate choices are the two pixel-shader combiners at last . He could buy a radeon 9600XT or 9800Pro , nice image quality ^^

caution with your double posts....... last warning.......

use at least the 56.64 driver version. this version is the best for rice plugin. you can use later versions (56.72, 60.xx)..... use for gf/tnt or limited 2stage, like liteuser or wilchu, if this don't works your problem is another than plugin configs.

Two settings seem to be relevant:

1. Under "General Option" -> "Skip frame" has to be disabled. Otherwise background has errors

2. Under "DirectX" -> "Depth buffer type" has to be "32-bit signed". Otherwise background appears occasionally only when your computer 'feels' like to.

ps. one simple hint: Set PJ64 priority to above normal in windows task manager -> Game runs much faster and smoother!!

That's it for now... :)

Oh yeah!! This game images captivate my attention... Especially, the animation of magical effects and the coloring of those sprites. HOLY MACARONI... LOVE THEM!!! The musics are great too, but a bit jeky after emulated.

Please keep up posting for feather testing in this post!

I would like to ask you if you can see the beginning atlus and quest logo. In my case, atlus logo is missing and quest logo only partially shown. How about yours?

If somehow you can make them appearing correctly, please show me your setting. Thanks in advance

Oh one more thing, I would like to ask you if you could edit this topic's title, so that it makes clear for those who look for help on problems like us do.

I would suggest that the title becomes:
"OgreBattle64 characters missing problem solution with GeForce4 MX440"

I think you should try out those settings with any better results for your platform since I think they don't contribute to any major problem (hopefully...)

Can you not edit the post? I think if you edit your first post you can well edit the title... Please try it. I am not sure though...

Backgrounds still not working =(

Hello All, I'm a bit of a Emu Newbie and its my 1st post so please bear with me :)

I've read through this thread and tried some of the suggestions made, but can't seem to get OB64 to run properly. My backgrounds appear all green with some strips of discoloration. Was wondering if anyone with similar hardware got it to work properly. Currently Using:

ATI Radeon 9000 w Catalyst Drivers
PJ64 1.5 w SP1
Rice's newest 5.5.1 Plugin (Hats off to Rice :p )

Im using DIrectX render... limited 4 stage combiner, 32-bit depth buffer, normal blender and accurate texture mapping. I tried running it in 1964 but that didn't help. Also tried Glide64 w evoodoo wrapper but that just make my characters disappear. I'd like to post a screenie but I'm not sure how to take a screenshot from PJ64 and put it up here >_< Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

I don't have PJ64 installed, but maybe RSP (off) or/and (wrong) combiner problem.

Hi , I have another problem this time.a problem of resolution.I use Project 64 and use a resolution of 600 *800 in window mode but I cannot see all the screen and I CANNOT PUT IN FuLL SCREEN because the battle freezes sometimes.In window mode I cannot see for example : my money or the end of the map.What is the solution please?
And why on full screen the battle freezes whereas in window mode it doesn't freeze.And is there a way I can use Project 64 1.5 save to play on 1964? because on 1964 it works perferctly.(no freeze).Thanks

Not Really , the states are completely f****d up , I used the same RSP with each emu , but the pj64 states were completely incompatible with 1964 , with each game (some did load , but they'd crash in 5 secs) .
