UPDATE..

Chad is playing with an upload speed of 256kbps and Tushar with a slightly lower number of 115kbps. What is so spectacular is the fact that their entire gameplay experience is staying at a constant 40-50 fps.

For vids of MKDD!! being played online, check here.. :D

I can't wait for the latest version of WP to be released.

That looks pretty fucking nice.
I'll be upgrading my connection soon anyway, when I get more money.
And when I get more money I'll be able to get a Broadband adapter. ;)
And a router. :D

Another update, WarpPipe is now running at full speed. :D

Warp Pipe project director Chad Paulson told Nintendojo tonight that the software in development has achieved 60 frames per second between two locations using standard broadband connections with 256 kbps upload.

The BETA is released in 36 days. Happy days ahead. ;)

This is basically what we are aiming to have functional in the beta:

1) Mario Kart working. (done)
2) Kirby Working. (in progres, need to adapt it to new stuff written for MK)
3) RLE and DIffXOR compression (Done)
4) 2 NIC support (Done)
5) Routerless network setups. (Done)
6) Alot of all around fixes. (Done)

IT'S READY!

Now as soon as my BBA arrives (like any day now), let the tournament commence!!!!!!!

Beta Launched!
We are happy to announce the launch of Warp Pipe 0.3 Beta for Windows. First and foremost, special thanks go out to the rest of the Warp Pipe team:

Nathan Ford (Lead Daemon Developer)
Tushar Singh (Windows GUI / Server Developer)
Matthew Herberg (Macintosh GUI Developer)

Warp Pipe beta allows both Kirby Air Ride and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! to play online. We are also very proud to announce that our latest version supports region free play, which means any Mario Kart: Double Dash (JPN, US, or PAL) can play with the other. The same goes for Kirby Air Ride.

Look for Warp Pipe Beta for Macintosh to launch within a week.

OMG! I'm so excited, I might just wet myself. ;)

Probably the easiest setup. I'll use the Router setup, I think.

I'll use the Hub/Switch Direct to Internet method I think.
As I have 1 computer where I am at the minute connected to the Internet, so all I'd need is to buy a Hub right? And a BBA of course.

Also I use a USB to Ethernet thingy, because I have no network card.
Will I have to buy a network card in order for it to work.
I know fuck all about Internet gadgets and all...
