I think Glide64 may have worked out this issue.

For me it's running fine on 1964 with Jabo's 1.5.

I use Glide64 and I get no flickering, if you get flickering in shooting star summit tell me and i'll fix it.

Set Buffer swap to hybrid I think. (For Glide64). Check Doomulation's sig, should'nt be hard to find a post by him

MRocket you seem to be the only one where it works fine with 1964 and Jabos, have you actually played this game through a little?

Yeah, set the buffer swap to hybrid to fix the flickering in Shooting Star Summit.

I heard Rice's new plugin fixes the flickering. Only issue left is prly the black sprites.

Here's how you set the hybrid buffer swap method! Ignore the other options, though, they're personal or preferred.

And glide64's "official" forum is on emuxhaven, its hosting site. Apparently, they don't see any need for an unofficial forum, so there isn't one.

Not to speak for Smiff, but I think he meant the official Glide64 forum which is not located on Emutalk.

And even though Glide64 is great, I am surprised at how much the repeat posts of "how to fix Mario Paper" flicker is allowed. Considering how many other posts asking for the same old info are bashed and people told to search first, read the rules, and so on.
