As far as the controllers concerned, the Wii looks more functional as far as waving it around like a lunatic goes.

Ah yes Doomulation, I finally see the light - what little there was to be seen :D.

Back on topic, I doubt any company doesn't steal or copy technology... they're hardly going to admit to it are they? The gamecubes small discs are nothing more than minature dvds and I am willing to bet there are those who believe that Nintendo created it all by themselves.

Companies LOVE to borrow other technology and continue to develop it, don't they?. We might even point out, is it wrong, really? They can use proven technology just as a programmer can use existing source and improve upon it.
Ah yes, Sony did "borrow" Nintendo's idea, but I don't think the technology. But the fact is also that they did it only when they saw the Wii controller and its popularity.
