Alright, my RSS news feed piped me this today. It's about the Phantom Game Console, lots of cool ideas, and the have a website, but preregister to preorder? this seems liek a sham still.

let me get this straight ... this thing is basically a pc, so will it play pc games? i have a pc, why do i need a phantom that doesnt allow me to keep my games on a physical media that i can carry around? a phantom is basically pc, so this pc needs to be upgraded. i have a pc, it needs to be upgraded as well but i can buy the parts i want and i can fiddle with it all i like. a pc stripped down to the basic capability of being able to play games doesnt sound too exciting to me.
