Perfect Dark

I accidently installed PJ64 1.5 beta the other day.Thinking that it was 1.5 final I decided to play Perfect Dark and it ran almost "Perfect".

When I realised that I had installed the beta version of PJ64 I quickly updated to the final version and gave Perfect Dark another go. It ran at 60fps but appeared to be heaps slower and choppy in some places.

Slowdown occured often in the real game too, when there were lots of enemies or explosions on the screen. Remember that N64 slowdown is emulated along with the game!

"Yes, I know" but what I'm saying is that it appeared to run smoother on PJ64 1.5 beta.

It's a save-file type problem

The problem comes of the save-file type. I don't remeber exactly, but I know that if you change the type of the save-file (e.g. 16kb Flash instead 32kb Flash), it's really increase speed, but you can't save in-game - don't know why, PD use a mempack !. Try to see what kind of save-file was in the 1.5b, and select the same in 1.5

The Great One
Perfect dark is a great game, but Project 64 requires a good system to play it on. I use 1964 and it runs Perfectly
