Will my PC be able to run this or the x64 version perfectly?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ (Yes, Dual-Core)
1GB of 2x 512MB (533MHz) RAM
Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit
ASUS M2N-32 SLi Deluxe [Wireless Edition]
eVGA 8800GTS (640MB) - (DirectX 10)

To anyone wondering how well xxxxx CPU with xxxxx video card will do on Dolphin, the answer is slowly. It is still unknown how much processing power will eventually be required to run mature GC emulators (because none exist yet), so save your money or buy a GC or Wii.
Reading and comprehending is actually a pretty effective way of learning things.

I'd suggest getting a time machine with that, then you'll know for sure if it will run it or not.
Be sure to give us info on it when you come back.

So..your telling me that there is no emulator, yet we are all registered to a site called EMUtalk and talking about a program that allows us to EMULATE our GameCube ISO's on our PCs. Guess that makes sense..thanks.

Well, I came back..no luck. Unfortunately, Dolphin got shut down around 2008-2009..for illegal activity.

He said there is no PC capable of running the emulator (yet).

I said that no mature Gamecube emulators exist at this time. And even the GC emulators that aren't fully developed aren't able to run on current hardware at playable speeds. That's why I previously said that the required specs on a fully developed GC emulator are unknown - because there are no fully developed GC emulators on which to base that information.

Well, it took a while but I finally got my PC upgraded yesterday. It plays Dolphin much better and my games play much faster than before. Here are the new specs: processor: AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 1 gig DDR of RAM and a new motherboard. The graphics card is still the same, but I will get new one later on. Can I have some ideas of any good graphics card, please. Thank you for your help and thank you Dolphin team, continue to do well in your progress.

The graphics card won't help much, but if you want a better one, then tell us what it's for. Games (not emulation)? Emulation?

Which graphics card is better to improve the graphics of general games, GeForce 8800 GTX or Radeon 8500?

As long as a card supports PS 2.0, you won't see any difference in graphics no matter what card you have. In PC games however, even a GeForce 5500 probably beats a Radeon 8500 in performance.

why is it that everytime someone makes one of these
there has to be someone like you who makes that kinda post

You should go with a ATI 9800 pro
it's got a tv-tuner too

I get 28-34FPS and I have

2GB RAM
AMD 9900 Dual core processor
ATI all-in-wonder 9800 pro

I don't like comments where people say "well go play the real thing" either, the point of this forum is to play the game on the emulator and NOT on the real thing. The only problem is that it is not possible to play games on an emulator so the real thing is the only option.

That card is useless for PC Gaming, but shouldn't be impossible for emulation.

Speed depends on game and emulator.

I don't like comments where people say "well go play the real thing" either, the point of this forum is to play the game on the emulator and NOT on the real thing. The only problem is that it is not possible to play games on an emulator so the real thing is the only option.

Which is why they mention it, because it's the only way to play full speed right now. Plus you won't have to spend an extreme amount of money on new hardware to get it running smoothly. And thirdly, though this is an emulation forum, we do not support piracy. Most, or some of them at least, want to simply use the emulator and download the games so they won't have to pay for the real things.

And besides that, it's far cheaper to buy a console and stick with it 5 years and purchase all the games you want than to do the same for PC. You'll get choppy framerates like no tomorrow.
