On what - ultra low settings and you still get ~5 fps? Seriously, that card is seriously outdated and shouldn't be able to run about any game nowadays.

It's one thing to guess and another thing to actually know, doomulation.
I can play Half-Life 2dm on high settings with a Radeon 9200 at 40 fps along with many other games including Doom 3. Doom 3 is on medium settings.

It's true that a Radeon 9800 Pro cannot run today's games well, but it's still a very good card for everything else. I should now, because I have the card.
Half-Life 2 works well with everything maxed, Doom 3 on Medium, same with Quake 4, FEAR, etc.
Still, this has nothing to do with emulation.

Don't underestimate the power of old cards. If you're not playing on really high resolutions and image qualities, old cards can still hold their water in some games. My GeForce 6600GT held out in FEAR, Quake 4, CS: Source, and AOE3. It wasn't too pretty looking, but it ran at playable speeds.
