Paper Mario Translate Error

After I watch the video clip where Peach talks to the star (Twinkle or something) she goes out on the balcony. When the scene fades into the star, the game freezes and a error message comes up saying.

"Cache: Failed to translate: 0" When I hit ok, another pops up with the same message except the number changes.

Does anyone know what is going on, or how I can fix it? Also, I have tried looking for another version of Paper Mario, but can't find one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi,

a) I am running a HP tc4400 laptop: Intel 2.0 ghz cpu, something in the Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family graphics card, and 2 gig ddr memory

b) I cannot find another Paper Mario Rom (I have dled the same one three times)

Thanks,

Use Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin since it's pretty much the only plugin that will work half decently with that Intel chip. Then again, Paper Mario doesn't really like the current line of Jabo's plugins, so you might want to give Rice's Video plugin a try although I'm not sure if that'll work any better in your case.

Unfortunately, all Intel graphics chips suck more than necessary and they aren't really suited for emulation at all.

Why are you playing N64 games on a school computer in the first place? You should know better that they're not meant for gaming in any sense of the word.

I have a "Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express" card in my laptop, and Project 64 runs fine...even with Jabo's 1.6 plugin.
