Paper Mario Sound problem

I'm not hearing anything when I play the game. The emulation video wise works very well, but no sound is coming out. Could some one tell me what to do? By the way I'm a complete newb.

ps. How do you configure a joystick in order to play a game?

use RSP.dll from PJ64 1.5.
Install it in the 1964 plugins folder,then go to plugins/change plugins and in the bottom you can use the RSP.dll
Then,you got sound.

Or use Jabo´s Direct sound 1.5 (from PJ64) and use the RSP.dll too

Paper Mario is one of those rare games that always needs RSP for sound.

You can also use the RSP dll from Mupen64.
