Paper Mario problems...

(I'm a newbie at this, so just let me know if I have left any details out.)

I downloaded 1964 0.8.5 and the plugin RiceDaedalus5.1.0. and have configured it correctly (I think). I try to then load Paper Mario, but all I get is a black screen. I do get some music in the background, but it's a bit static. Looking at the % at the bottom of the screen, video always stays at 0% and audio is around 6%.
I have a Pentium 3, running Windows 98, and have a Intel(R) 82815 Graphic's card. Any help would be appriacted, thanks.

Ok it's probably a bad rom, but I also think that your pc doesn't meet the requirements because of your graphics, but you can try using glide64 and evoodoo. Also, what is the speed of your processor and how much ram do you have?

I'm not sure about the speed, but it's a fairly old computer. I've got 127MB of RAM. I downloaded glide64 and evoodoo, but when I go to the 'change plugin' area in 1964, under the video drop down menu, only RiceDaedalus5.1.0 and the original plugin appears...?

did you put evoodoo in the original 1964 folder? and make sure you put glide64 is in the plugin folder.

Yep, both in the correct place but still nothing. I will try to download Glide64 again, maybe it will appear in the plugin list then.

Update: I switched to a better computer, and now working with Glide & evoodoo. Everything's pretty good for the most part of the game, but places like shooting star summit etc. Still bad flickering. I'm alternating between the different plugins suggested around here, but I guess roms can never be 100% perfect :(

You probably still get the flickering when at the Shooting Star summit because you may have not changed the buffer swap method in the Glide64 settings to 'hybrid'.
