Paper Mario Battle Issues

When I go into most battles on Paper Mario, it will either freeze for a second and run again or slow down and then go back to normal, throwing off timing for the special attacks. I tried to look for this issue but either there isnt any posts for it yet or I do not know what terms to search for.

update to rice's latest the best gfx plugin i have seen for this game is glide 64 :bouncy: :bouncy:

Also, update to PJ64 1.6.
