Anyone know how to get the ePSXe 1.6 emulator to play games with .PAL as the Extension?

I recently got Final Fantasy VII as a .PAL, but i can get the emulator to load it.

Usually the ePSXe is on 'Auto-detect' and will automatically recognize that your using a PAL version. If it isnt working, try opening up the ePSXe console, click the 'Options', go to 'Country' and select 'PAL'.

PAL and NTSC are regional codes. I think Europe and Asia use the PAL whereas North America uses NTSC. This system of regional codes is outdated and wont be used in future consoles apparently.

hmm, the only files that i know of that have the .PAL extentions are Paintshop Pro files. Are you sure you downloaded a game? How big was it?

Edit: indeed the original post states the it is a '.PAL extention', thus my earlier post was dumb; sorry.

The real extension is probably lost, the PAL is probably intended to mean the PAL video format rather than a CD image extension. I don't really want to help you further in getting your downloaded warez working, so you're on your own.

My advice: buy the real game and rip it yourself.
