I guess I have not seen enough geeks or open source gurus just yet
.
This article from Slashdot.org once again portrays the crowd of open source program suggestions available (in specific) on the Windows platform. It's too much effort to go over all the threads but I suppose if you want to kill time then .....
1. The Best of Windows Open Source Software?
http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/09/25/2252231
Some of the extracted links among those threads:
2. The Open CD Project - Software List
http://www.theopencd.org/thelist/
3. Open Source Software in a Windows Environment (good!)
http://www.jairlie.com/oss/suggestedapplications.html
4. GNU Software for Windows
http://www.gnusoftware.com/ilink/ilink.cgi
http://gnuwin.epfl.ch/
5. thegoldenear's Recommended Software for Windows
http://www.thegoldenear.connectfree.co.uk/gg/toolbox/win32/the-software.htm
I have learned a lot about many OSS programs/projects available from those threads, probably more than enough.. I suppose
.
Anyways, enjoy the tools if you find them useful.
