OoT - Obvious problem here?

Mashed up graphics in the start menu where Link should be. Any ideas? Using Jabo's 6 for the graphics.

PS. The sound with Jabo's plugin is also delayed by about 500ms. It sounds little but it's noticeable in game.

Any solutions to either are appreciated.

You could be experiencing the same problem as me - Framebuffer completely broken with Jabo's D3D6 1.5.1 when using PJ64 1.5. Oddly, the plugin works fine in 1964 0.9.9. This is almost certainly a driver issue that affects GeForceFX cards if I'm right. Otherwise make sure 'Self-rendered Textures' is enabled. If you have the option turned on and the picture of link and stuff is still messed, then it's 1964 time.

Have no idea as to what the deal is. Self-rendering textures were always enabled by the way.

And as for 1964... well... Rice's plugin (latest) is just dire. I don't think I'm wrong in saying that the shot from the normal play above looks nice, whereas with 1964.. well.. it's all... eurgh...

Well here's some shots that look identical to yours except to show that in 1964, Jabo's works properly but it PJ64 the framebuffer doesn't work (this is in all games). This probably only happens on FX cards with Forceware drivers.

So, 1964 0.9.9, Jabo's gfx, sound, RSP;
PJ64, Jabo's gfx, sound, RSP:

Well I'll be damned... good job Clements!

Works fine.

But NOW in 1964 I can't get any sound, despite setting up Jabo's properly.

:-(

I'm such an amateur.

For sound to work in 1964, try from best quality (slowest) down to least accurate (but fast):

Jabo's DirectSound + RSP.dll
Azimers Audiofix/Azimer's 0.50.2 (audiofix works but extra features don't yet) + RSP.dll
Azimer's 0.40 B2 + RSP.dll
Azimer's 0.40 B2
schibo's Audio + RSP.dll
schibo's audio

heh, my start screen used to look like that using UltraHLE on a P3 550MHz 16MB voodoo3 3000. Man am i glad i got an ATI Radeon 9800. Mine works fine in P64. I'm using all the default plugins (Jabo's). For the vid plugin, I'm using Direct3D HAL, Anisotropic filtering unchecked, full screen resolution at 640x480 16 bit, transfer memory for buffer display mode and 800x600 windowed resolution.

For advanced tab, only force filtered rendering is checked and 'rom settings' tab is grayed out.

Sound plugins are untouched from default settings

Well, I use fullscreen 1600x1200 wth 8xAA and 8xAF. Looks, y'know, alright :matrix:

But Clements, in PJ64 with Jabo's audio plugin it works fine, but when I use it with the rsp.dll file in 1964 there's no sound - what's going on? It's the same with azimer's. The only one that even half works is the HLE plugin, but that stutters.

Any ideas?

Hmm.

Tried unchecking 'send audio lists to Audio plugin' in the RSP config? If that's checked it can cause the audio to fail in Jabo's/certain Azimer's. make sure the RSP.dll is copied over to the plugin directory of 1964 and is selected in the plugin config is the only other thing I can think of, and also Jabo's audio is incompatible with 1964 0.85.

*Wallowing in his own shame*

Ahhhh I didn't actually, er, enable the RSP plugin in the options menu in the first place :teehee: .

Thanks Clements, now got OoT up and running flawlessly in 1964.

BTW if you have difficulty with the start menu freezing for seconds, copy the fix code over from pj64 cheat file. I only just figured that out now... :-(
