OoT graphics issue

Hi!

I'm using Project64 with the Rice graphics plugin (v 6.0.0), and I have some problems with textures. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to these things, soI have no idea how to get things working right. I'll post some pictures of first how things look, and then of what settings I have.

This one speaks for itself, pretty much.

Note how some textures become transparent. Not just half the wall, but also part of Epona's legs.

28419--

28420--

28421--

These are the settings I use. I've changed some of them in a vain attempt to fix things, but I'm not sure which ones, exactly. My video card is an NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX 4000 with 64 MB of memory, which may or may not be relevant.

I'd be most grateful for any assistance.

I couldn't find a Jabos 1.8 plugin. The program came with Jabos 1.5.2 and 1.6 (I downloaded it from http://www.pj64.net/ - is there a place that has a newer version?). 1.6 worked better, but still not good - I get lots of black ground and water in it. The only way I can get the ground and especially water to display properly is to use the 1.5.2 plugin set to RGB mode, but then things become amazingly slow.

Screenshot of black ground/water attached.

I found a later version of the Rice plugin (6.1.0, I had been using 6.0.0). This has been working reasonably well (some minor bugs like the warp point for Farore's Wind being surrounded by a black box, but nothing serious), until I came to the "Bottom of the Well" dungeon and started using the Eye of Truth. Turns out, for some reason the Eye won't work - false walls and floors won't show up either with or without the eye.

Needless to say, that's going to make the Shadow Temple pretty difficult.

::sigh::

try to update your drivers.

EDIT: backwards, go back to some 55.?? drivers and it will be better for you, 77.?? drivers are for more advanced cards.

Jabo's 1.8? Rise's?...

If you don't have solved your problem yet, I can recommend you my configuration (as a GeForce MX 440 user, experienced with those zelda textures problems :p ).

Uninstall your Nvidia drivers. You can follow the instructions here:
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?threadid=67799

Install "56.72" or "45.23" drivers, as you prefer. I have tested both, and they work fine.

And finally, use PJ64 1.6 or 1.5 + Jabo's 1.5.2 or 1.6 plugin (maybe better 1.6, with all the advanced options unticked).
