Ogre Battle 64

Recently I've been playing Ogre Battle 64 on my 1964 emulator, and since I started, I noticed that the in-battle backgrounds don't work properly, all I get is a black background. It says to use Rice 5.2, and I have, I've also tried higher versions such as 5.6, and the background is still black for battles. Any suggestions how I may be able to fix this?

Yep, use the older 1964 0.85 I think - or PJ64. Use Rices latest or Glide64 - both will show the background. 1964 0.99 has a small error in it that stops the backgrounds showing with any plugin.

Ok, I tried what you said with the 1964 v0.85 and the latest Rice and Glide64, however, for some reason when I try putting the plug ins into the settings, it says "Failed recognizing plugin Rice 5.6.0" then it says "Failed recognizing plugin Glide64"... help?
