ogre battle 64 problems

i get this problem when playing orge battle 64.
also the ground for most places is black, mainly the battles.
and it frezzes for over 30 or so secnds ocasionaly
can anyone help?

Is this the kind of black you get during battles? The strange thing is the textures are fine if a conversation has taken place just before a fight, but otherwise, blackness.

I have fixed the freezing by playing in a window - it always freezes randomly if full-screen, but being in a window seems to alter something. Other people might have a theory about this.

thats the exact kind of blackness i get, and i am playing it in windowed mode. i know the blackness isn't suposed to be there because i have played the actual cart of the game.

i tried the dx7 plugin and along with the black backgrounds in the battle/ and some story scenes the characters are black as well.

for the first screen, turn off normal blending in the advanced options.

well it's either the fog problem or unreadable text, i gues i'll just have to wait till the next release.
