im not terribly excited about the design personally and the color does look weird but so did the gamecube one and it plays like a charm imo, so ill judge it as soon as ive used it

Saw this earlier, not impressed with the design one bit, it's too basic for me really. I prefer the Revolution/xbox 360 designs myself.

any chance the grill is really? i'd buy it. anyways all i've heard about the ps3 is it is more powerful then all the next consoles just its limited to using a certain percentage of its power which seems gay

Is anybody else bothered by the fact that all three of these are designed as "stand up" consoles, rather than laying them flat?

I've never liked the idea of standing my PS2 up on its side, much less the fact that, where I store my console, I *can't* stand it up.

i trust nintendo, sony and microsoft will all solve the problem and sell you the appropriate furniture as well. personally i never liked the idea of a standing console in the first place.

Yes, but it IS possible to lay them down flat. So no worries

Anyhoo looks like this will be like the first playstation that had retailed for $400
