Official N64 controller

Has anyone tried the N64+Playstation/PS2 USB PC controller converter with Project 64? Is it possible to play games using the official nintendo controller?

U can use a n64 controller but the adapter isn't compatible with all joysticks. it'll work or not work with a joystick at random from the first time u try it until forever

Are you talking about the one that allows you to switch between the N64 and PSX controller? Yes, it works fine for N64 - however, it doesn't work for me using the PSX controller in pSX emulator.

Works great for me. Got it on ebay. I use the Gold Nintendo Power controller.

If you have a controller that works properly, then yes you can use it with PJ64. I recommend the NRage 2.00 plugin, but the default should do just as well.

In the future, the best way to find out whether something will work with something else is to try it and see.
