So...are there any such converters out there that's cheap at the very least? I found an article about one such converted, but it was a little expensive...$515,17.
Are there any companies that sells things like these cheap? Either I get one of these or I get another tv. I just wanna know! Thanks.

What you are talking about is called a scan convertor
They aren't cheap here is but it's a professional quality convertor. Here are some other units I found.
Emerson EVC-1550
Emerson EVC-1595
Emerson EVC-1500

It's a non trivial problem though so hence why it's expensive :)

The cheapest seemed to be the Amazon.com .. maybe you can get them to ship it to you where you live if you are lucky.

Screw it, just get another TV. That'll serve you in other ways too, obviously. Maybe go for broke with S-Video and all that malarky.

I'm getting a new tv soon, but that takes time as I can't afford a new one. I'm going to try and search for money.
Anyway, after searching around the web I found that typical simple converters that converts these pictures (without the ability to record) costs about $50. These are no professional things, however as I see, and you must have a stable black & white picture with ntsc to get a colored pal picture...

I found them to match my need, however :) and I will search for a suitable cheap one to order.

I could I guess...but that would even require the computer on, too. And how much would such a card cost?

Now that I've found my little beuty converter (budget) and bought it =] i'm just wondering...since I get a stable black & white picture on the tv...does that mean theoretically it could do pal60? Since this converter basically just converts the color-coding info.

(If I wouldn't have a stable black & white pic, it wouldn't be so good with color either...)
