Not enough memory for RSP RecompCode

Hey, my friend online gets this error, "not enough memory for RSP RecompCode". However, this is online with 1.4 source, so is this just a 1.4 problem or can it be fixed? I could get his specs if need be. Maybe you know of this problem and know how to fix it?
