THere is smoke coming out of my ears and tears in my eyes.
I am trying to get games on chankast work for days now. And i really looked at a lot of threads in this forum and although I think that there are hundreds of threads like this i wasn't able to find an answer that solved my problem.
So sorry for this thread but I don't know what to do...lol
I'm a complete noob so please be careful when u are explainig something to me...I probably won't understand it
Nah...I hope it's not that bad.
But it would be very nice if u could tell me the name of every program i need..or even give me the link to it if possible.
Ok first:
I have every version of Chankast and tried everything with all versions.
I have the Dreamcast Bios
I have installed the Aspi Drivers (first a newer version then an older..i read that somewhere..lol)
I have installed the Standart IDE Controller (there has been installed a VIA IDE Controller)
I have Daemon Tools 3.29
The Problem:
If I start a game (I only have DOA2LE and SF3...both are actually said to be autobootable) Chankast does one of the following things: (depending on if I have aspi drivers installed, which version of daemon tools i use and so on)
It crashes b4 it shows the dreamcast logo
I only see a black screen after the dreamcast logo
I see a screen with a disc in the middle and it looks like an audio player. When I press some button i get to a screen where I can setup things. When i "click" on "game" it restarts and again it leads me to this screen.
The last problem is the one i have at the moment with installed aspi drivers and d-tools 3.29 and actually everything correctly like i read it in threads here.
Ok first thing I thought was that the game isn't selfbootable (can me explain someone what that means? what is the difference to a non-selfbootable game? )
And I didn't figure out yet how to make it selfbootable. I tried ExoBoot 1.3 once but that didnt create me an image...and I burned it to a CD with selfbootGUI but when i try to run this i get the same setup-screen.
Please help me although I'm sure those noobs are annoying u..but hey...it's difficult.
